After a week off for the England vs. Rest of World match we returned to regular Friday golf this week.
The course was busy as there are a lot of long stay Swedish people here and there was also a party from Tarleton Travel staying in the hotel. Along with some well known lady golf professionals such as Micky Walker and Alison Nicholas who were coaching the people who were here with Tarleton.
Our first tee time was around 1pm and our last was around 2:30pm. So our last group only just got around in the light. The rounds took approximately 4 hours 40 minutes. We would have liked to play faster but our speed of play was governed by the groups ahead of us on the course.
We played a Reverse Waltz with two hidden holes and had a large field of 51 players taking part.
The winners were Alan Sl, Vicky T, Karen P and a new member Harry W with a great score of 97 points. Last place and chocolates went to Albert, Jim St, Barbara and Thea with a score of 70. They almost escaped the chocolates as the team above scored the same number of points but had a lower combined handicap.
Nearest the pin was on hole 17 and was won by Lennart with a distance of 2.69m.
We had 3 handicap cuts this week. Mr President with 43 points and Karen P with 40 points (both in the winning team). Plus John Fi with 38 points. Well done to all of them.
