Individual Stableford competition - Sunday 16 October 2011
Created on 05 October 2011
Written by John Woodhead
We can now confirm that the next FGS Sunday will take place on Sunday 16 October 2011 and will be held on the Master Course at Almerimar.
The format is individual stableford and first prize is a voucher for a meal to the value of 50 euros at the Hong Kong Chinese restaurant. The voucher can be used any night Monday to Firday but not at weekends.
Due to a clash with a junior competition in Granada on 23 October 2011 the Almerimar/BSM regularidad competition has been moved and will also take place on 16 October 2011. However the Almerimar course management has very kindly offered to fit our players onto the Master Course alongside those playing in the regularidad.
They have offered FGS members the opportunity to book tee times on the course at the same time as the shotgun start for the regularidad (normally 8:45am or 9am). Also FGS members will have the opportunity to fit on the course at later times around the people playing in the regularidad.
As usual it is up to individuals to form groups and book their own tee times. We would ask FGS members to be as flexible as possible so that all golfers wanting to play can get on the course. If there is a considerable demand for tee times the committee will consider the possibility of making the last tee time for this competition later than the normal 2pm closing time.
We recommend that FGS members planning to play in the competition book their tee times as soon as they can to avoid disappointment. Bookings will be able to be made via the Almerimar pro-shop from Sunday 9 October onwards.
Further details about the competition will be published on the noticeboard at Almerimar tomorrow afternoon.
PLEASE NOTE THE RULES ABOUT SIGNING THE BOOK AND PAYING YOUR ENTRY FEE BEFORE YOU PLAY IN THE FGS SUNDAY COMPETITION. COPIES OF THE RULES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES IN THE PRO SHOP SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE THE COMPETITION AND ON THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION.
BE WARNED THAT IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE RULES THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY THAT YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
